Arizona’s Valley of The Sun YMCA branches, located across Maricopa County, in Yuma and Flagstaff, Arizona, were recently briefed on how to handle media attention surrounding the YMCA’s policies allowing individuals who identify as transgender with opposite-sex genitalia to use locker rooms.

Men who simply say they are a woman are seemingly allowed to use the women’s locker room in the name of “diversity, equity, and inclusion.”

The sender of the email, JT Turner, told The Gateway Pundit, “we encourage people to use participate where they feel most comfortable.”

“We offer all individuals the use of facility spaces, including locker rooms, that align with that individual’s gender identity,” states the suggested response to the media.

This is an ongoing issue at YMCA locations across the Country.

The Gateway Pundit recently reported that Rebecca Phillips, 17,  attended a city council meeting in Santee, California, to share her trauma after being exposed to a naked man in her local YMCA women’s changing room.

“As I was showering after my workout,  I saw a naked male in the women’s locker room,” said Phillips. “I immediately went back into the shower, terrified, and hid behind their flimsy excuse for a curtain until he was gone.”

She became emotional while explaining that her five-year-old sister also uses the locker rooms to shower and change clothing.

Imploring the City Council to take action, Phillips said, “The fact that we are now tailoring our privacy policies and bathroom laws around transgenders, ignoring the blatant threat to safety that this poses, is obscene.”

The Gateway Pundit exclusively obtained email correspondence to the Valley of the Sun YMCA Branch Leadership team, outlining “suggested talking points” for “addressing public inquiries related to our inclusion of transgendered individuals in YMCA programs.”

The January 17 email to Valley of The Sun Branch Leadership mentions the “negative press, including some national media attention” surrounding the YMCA in Santee, California, and provides talking points for staff to use while “addressing public inquiries related to our inclusion of transgendered individuals in YMCA programs.” The emails ignore the risks imposed on children by stating that “at the Valley of The Sun YMCA, this has not been an issue” and simply claiming that “like most people, transgender individuals value privacy, are discreet, and demonstrate care in their actions.”

It appears that women, mothers, and fathers who value their families or their own privacy will just have to deal with the possibility of seeing male genitalia or being seen naked by grown men.

The email also instructs employees, “if you gain knowledge of any negative comments on social media, or other websites such as Google Reviews, Yelp, etc. please screenshot and forward these to our MARCOM team immediately so that appropriate action may be taken.”

It is unclear what “action” the YMCA is taking against negative social media comments and reviews. Is the YMCA also colluding with big tech giants to censor information?

Embedded within the email were talking points from the YMCA of The USA around “Transgender Inclusion and Child Abuse Prevention” and “Child Protection,” with similar statements to those in the email above.

The memo from the YMCA of The USA in Chicago also gives advice on how to answer questions if the chapter is preparing to enact a policy that would allow a “naked transgender individual with genitalia of the opposite sex” to use locker rooms with “young children.” Employees are seemingly asked to LIE and say, “we have spoken to YMCAs that have similar policies in place, and this has not been an issue,” despite the issue in Santee, California, where a MINOR female was exposed to adult male genitalia.

WHAT ABOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF A YOUNG CHILD BEING EXPOSED IN A LOCKER ROOM TO A NAKED TRANSGENDER INDIVIDUAL WITH GENITALIA OF THE OPPOSITE SEX?

If a policy is already in place:

This has not been an issue. Our experience is that, like most people, transgender individuals value privacy, are discreet, and demonstrate care in their actions.

If preparing to enact a policy:

We have spoken to YMCAs that have similar policies in place, and this has not been an issue. The same is true of entire states with legal protections for transgender people, according to research. Experience shows that, like most people, transgender individuals value privacy, are discreet, and demonstrate care in their actions.
